Looking for a vehicle rental in La Désirade? Rather than a standard tourist car, Buggy Désir offers a fleet of buggies and quads designed for this very particular terrain: a limestone plateau, dirt trails, steep paths, and back roads that few vehicles handle comfortably.
Our fleet of vehicles for rent
We offer two types of vehicles, suited to every kind of trip:
- 2-3 seat buggy — €145 / day — perfect for a family or friends' outing, with more comfort and room on board.
- Quad — €110 / day — perfect for a solo or two-person ride, more manoeuvrable on narrow trails.
All our vehicles are rented for the full day, from 9am to 3:30pm, with pickup directly in Beauséjour.
Why rent a buggy or quad rather than a regular car?
La Désirade stands out for its terrain: a limestone plateau, sometimes steep slopes, and many unpaved roads that lead to the island's most beautiful viewpoints. A standard rental car lets you follow the main roads, but quickly reaches its limits once you venture onto secondary trails.
Buggies and quads are built for this kind of terrain: higher ground clearance, suitable power, and manoeuvrability that lets you reach narrow paths otherwise inaccessible. It's also simply a more fun way to discover the island — free from bus or taxi schedules.
Rental terms
- Hours: 9am to 3:30pm
- Licence: valid driving licence required
- Deposit: €800 (27 years and older) or €1,300 (under 27), payable by cheque, instant bank transfer, cash, or credit card pre-authorisation (+€15 fee)
